Public Speaking :/

Picture from: www.targetintellect.com/.../

The message that this video was trying to portray is to show you the emotions that most people encounter when they think about public speaking. It shows how people react when they get in front of an audience to speak. How the nerves, anxiety, and fear get the best of you and you quickly become a dumbfounded zombie. The hatred of public speaking is quite universal for these reasons. I think that the message we can learn from is that we shouldn’t let these emotions take over the experience that we are trying to portray. These emotions are similar in every one of us, but the ones who can block them out to focus on what their task really is are the ones that will succeed in public speaking. Ultimately, we all understand these feelings and we should overcome these fears, especially since we are all in the same nerve rattling class.

My Life

Picture From: catholicwisdom.stblogs.com/

I chose this picture because it describes exactly who I am and what I live for. I love my savior who died on that cross. I believe that my life reflects that as well. He has showed me to love other people in a way that I couldn’t even begin to describe. My favorite day of the week is Sunday. I love waking up early for church, hanging out with some friends from youth all day, and then finishing off the evening with our youth group meeting. I love my church so much and I am so glad that I ended up where I am at Petersburg First Baptist Church.

Mr. Clumsy

This is Mr. Clumsy. I chose him because I, myself, am incredibly clumsy. I am always tripping and falling over for no apparent reason. I’m the kind of person that trips going up stairs or because the color changed on the floor. Thankfully, my friends understand this and only make fun of me a little bit. They also keep me from falling a lot of the time. Another negative aspect that comes with this is that I get hurt a lot. This mostly happens from tumbling, but I am normally banged up in some way. Needless to say, I think that me and Mr. Clumsy up there would be very good friends!

Cheerleading

Cheerleading is my favorite sport. Yes, it is a sport. I am involved in two different types of cheerleading, school and competitive. School cheer is very easy, so I am glad that I am also involved with a team that requires more dedication and effort. Our competitive team is ICE (Indiana Cheer Extreme). My favorite parts of cheerleading are tumbling and building. Those are the aspects that make it a sport. Cheerleading defines who I am because it shows my bubbly personality and attitude. I also love smiling all of the time. I don’t plan to continue it past high school, but for now I love everything about it!

Marching Band

Picture from: http://www.wwbw.com/

Marching band defines a lot of who I am. It also explains what my time is consumed by. A lot of my values, inspiration, and ‘DRIVE’ come from this sport. Most of my friends are in band, so the life lessons and time spent are even more precious to me. I play the piccolo that you see above. It is a very loud, high pitched instrument. I wasn’t very confident when I first switched from the flute, but I have adjusted and am learning to embrace it. Even though I tend to complain about it, I love marching band and I wouldn’t know what to do without it.
